You face a choice. You can do what the system wants or you can define a vision for yourself.” Murray Johannsen

The mind is a image processor, using over 10 types of imagery. Yet, the educational system fails us; for it doesn't let us know about the untapped resourses waiting to be accessed.

The program focuses on learning how to use mental imagery to construct a vision of the future and develop skills. It includes numerous practical techniques that when practiced and mastered result release the untapped resources lying latent within us all.

Module 1: The Power of Symbols, Myths and Archetypes

“When an idea is important, it will find its way into imagery.” — Joseph Campbell

Your mind is a image processor. Yet, we have never been given a map to explore these assets lying dormant, untapped and unused. To get traction, one first needs to understand the lay of the land.

Symbols have both a surface meaning and a hidden meaning. Some symbols, such as the archetypes are timeless — appearing across cultures and time. Many are dormant. Yet some have motivational force—strongly influencing your behavior — either positively or negatively.

You learn how to defining a set of symbols. For example, you will explore the meaning of symbols such as The Magic Kingdom, the Treasure Hunt, and the Heroes Journey, the classic structure inherent in great movies and literature you see in a Harry Potter series, the Arabian Nights, the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.

  • The Best Times to Use Imagery. Some times work better than others -- find out what they are.
  • Ten Types of Imagery you can use
  • Accessing Receptive Imagery. How to allow more unconscious content to surface.

Module 2: How To Construct Compelling Goal Imagery

If the unconscious doesn't know what you want, it can't help you get there.

Its long known for years that visualization is a key factor in harnessing resources factors lying untapped with the mind.

There is nothing wrong with the way classic goal setting is taught in the b-schools. It communicates on paper what the destination is. BUT it: lacks motivational force, and doesn't engage your unconscious in making it happen.

But like all tools, one has to know how to use it. For there are different types of goal imagery. Some is receptive--useful in both insight and creativity. Some is is programmed--a category helpful in skill development.

  • Constructing Proper Goal Images. If the unconscious doesn't know what you want, it can't help you get there.

Module 3: How to Practice and Perfect Process Imagery

"Only perfect practice makes perfect." -- Murray Johannsen

Mental practice is as powerful as physical practice in building skills. Despite its importance, few understand how to use the mind to build skills. This directly results in a tremendous loss of corporate training dollars and a a huge indirect in terms of skills never developed and never perfected. Learn how to use mental imagery to more quickly develop skills and enhance the usefullness of training programs you attend.

University researchers in this area have long known that high performers in sports use a combination of real and mental practice.  Both produce better results than either used alone. These high performers know what the rest of us don’t -- how to use guided image as a tool of mental practice. STILL, most of us don't know who to use imagery to improve application skills

To really make it  you need to know about:

  • The Theater of the Mind. This is one powerful visualization method to see what comes next and to get it right.
  • Editing Your Movie. BeThere are a number of techniques
  • Practicing Dissociated and Associated. Such a simple technique but one that really gets the job done.
  • Shifting From Director to Actor.

Module 4: Techniques for Constructing Your Vision:

In this session we will explore the nature of symbols in life, myth and the dream. They are actually related. Myths serves on one model for understanding what occurs with the unconscious. These themes are repeated across the generations and are often made into hugely commercially successful moves.

One of the most import mythic themes is the Heroes Journey. And in almost all of these journeys, there appears an advisor who is wiser, who seems to know what to do when a situation is encountered that causes confusion. You might say that during meditation, you are like a hero, journeying into the the unconscious.

Now comes the fun part — creating, changing and finessing your imagery on the Heroes Journey.

And so designed the course to deliver the verbal and written skills employers want in employees and supervisors.
